Penny Vine

For my inspiration, I’m always fascinated by vernacular, obsolete objects. The Silver Coin Vine plant started a thought process about coins and specifically pennies, which are not used anymore. I envisioned this copper strand light with simple, coin shaped leaves. I ensured the proportions were in line with the Fibonacci sequence, akin to the Golden Mean or nature’s divine mathematical proportion.

The wall mounted lighting system is available in multiple lengths, each cantilevered on delicate copper ‘vines’. Each ‘leaf’ is an illuminated opal glass and organized in satin copper strands of 3, 5, 8 or 13 lights.
